Grey matter es el resultado del deseo de trabajar juntos en temas transversales que nos interesan. El equipo está compuesto por los asociados Matthieu Boustany, Benoist Desfonds, Elida Mosquera, Jerome Picard y la colaboradora Peeraya Suphasidh.
GREY MATTER, AUBY (FR). EUROPAN 15.
Matthieu Boustany, Benoist Desfonds, Elida Mosquera y Jerome Picard se conocieron a través de su experiencia compartida en prestigiosas oficinas internacionales de todo el mundo. Se unen para crear LOCAL en 2019 entre Bergen y París, como un recordatorio de que todos somos nómadas y sedentarios, migrantes y locales.
La transmisión de conocimiento y know-how, el envejecimiento conjunto, la búsqueda de adaptar y recomponer nuestro entorno construido existente en torno a nuevos valores compartidos, la cuestión del papel cambiante de la cultura y los lugares de trabajo, la construcción con madera o el acceso al deporte para todos, son algunos de los temas con los que trabajamos en la actualidad.

Somos actores locales en un sistema globalizado donde nuestra práctica de diseño trata de cerrar la brecha entre dos oposiciones aparentes. Local es un recordatorio para estar presente, enfocándose en el momento actual en lugar de focalizarse en la gran ansiedad del futuro para marcar la diferencia.

Grey matter is the result of a desire to work together on transversal themes we care. The team is composed of associates, Matthieu Boustany, Benoist Desfonds, Elida Mosquera, Jerome Picard and contributor Peeraya Suphasidh. Matthieu Boustany, Benoist Desfonds, Elida Mosquera, Jerome Picard met through their shared experience in prestigious international offices around the world. They come together to create LOCAL in 2019 between Bergen and Paris, as a reminder that we all are at once nomadic and sedentary, migrants and locals. Transmission of knowledge and know-how, ageing together, looking to adapt and recompose our existing built environment around new shared values, questioning the changing role of culture and places of work, building with wood, or giving accessibility to sport for all, are some of the questions we ask ourselves. We are local actors in a globalized system where our design practice is trying to bridge the gap between two apparent oppositions. Local is a reminder to be here, focus on the moment rather than on the vast anxiety of the future to make a difference.
